# Billing

> Greptile bills in prepaid credits. See what credits cost, what each review costs, and how to buy them.

Greptile uses prepaid credits. Credits cost **\$1** each and are shared across your organization.

## What credits pay for

With **Auto**, you pay for the tier that ran. See [Review tiers](https://www.greptile.com/docs/code-review/review-tiers.md).

[CLI reviews](https://www.greptile.com/docs/code-review/greptile-cli.md) cost the same as pull request reviews. The free plan doesn't include them.

A TREX run costs 3 credits on top of the review. It's charged only when at least one flow reaches a pass or fail. If TREX fails or returns nothing readable, you pay only for the review.

Only completed reviews spend credits.

## Buy credits

In [**Settings → Billing**](https://app.greptile.com/-/settings/billing), click **Buy credits**, or turn on **Automatic recharge** to buy credits whenever your balance runs low.

When credits run out, new reviews pause until you add more.

## Excluding bots

Excluded authors are not reviewed, so they spend no credits. Greptile excludes common bots such as `dependabot[bot]` and `renovate[bot]` by default.

**Dashboard**

In **Settings → Code Review → Greptile Review Configuration**, exclude the author in every **Filters** rule that allows reviews. Greptile reviews a PR when any rule matches.

Setting [`excludeAuthors`](https://www.greptile.com/docs/code-review/greptile-config-reference#filters) replaces the default list, so keep the bots you still want excluded:
