Tooling is all over the place, but this is by design. There are team members using Cursor, they've gone with the agent mode there and it's great. We definitely use Claude, OpenCode. We also have our own in-house background agent system called Forge, where we can just ship stuff through Slack — it's multi-repo, it's multiplayer, does long-running work.
I think that’s the biggest cop-out answer I could ever imagine. You should already have the guardrails in place. You’re a regulated institution. You should already have a high quality bar. You should already have a great review process. And yes, it was designed for humans. And yes, things change because agents are writing more code, it’s non-deterministic, agents could hallucinate.
So yes, you need to do something in addition. But don’t take the cop-out answer, we can’t use AI because we’re regulated. We’re doing it, and we’ve thought through the things that matter, where we hold an extremely high bar in security.
